for about $170 two adults can stay overnight in a totally unimpressive room and drive through really unimpressive lights. We had really expected so much more since this place is supposed to be known for the lights. Very underwhelming. Everyone who worked there was very friendly though.
Took our kids to see The Good Zoo and Christmas lights. We all had a great time! The staff was helpful and courteous. The only downside was that the miniature train display was down, and the kids were really looking forward to it. But otherwise the lines were not very long and we truly enjoyed it.
It was ok. Food was mediocre and Luke warm at the Santa breakfast and we were first seating at 8am. Service at the breakfast was 50/50. All the elevators broke on the first day there. There was only one in service when we arrived and we had a handicapped family member have to climb the 4 flights of steps. The room reservations were incorrect also. All 4 rooms were supposed to be adjoining and in a group, one with a fireplace and king bed. It had no fireplace and 2 queens. The reason we were given was that "reservations screws things up all the time" although it was booked in May. They did comp half the remaining balance to try to do something to correct the issue. The nature center kiln is broken so we couldn't make ornaments.
Awesome place. Rooms were excellent, clean, well kept. People were very polite. We were there for 1 day/night and had seen the lights, all the shops, zoo and the museum. All the people were awesome. We wonder what it is like in the summer? It looks as if it would be a really great place with lots to do. If you want a seasonal getaway just you and your significant other I would highly recommend.
The rooms were not very clean and the accommodations not all functioning. If you are willing to go see the lights, do not waste your money staying here.
We also tried the arcade with our daughter, at least four of the machines just ate the money and literally did nothing..
We only went for the lights of Christmas. It was very good. Confused when we called and told free, but signs when we hot there said donation 20.00 per car. . Beautiful Cinderella light display on hill side. Also amazing light flowers display at the gift shop.
