Everything was explained. All tests printed out, explained and everything documented. We received a copy. Plus they faxed a copy to our vet.
Brought my very sick dog here. He couldn't even lift his head. After 40 minutes the vet finally walks in. My dog who has never been vicious with anyone let's out a little growl but couldn't lift his head. The vet said "oh he might need a muzzle". Checks out geno. Leaves the room and says we need to come up with a treatment plan. The kid comes back in and asks us to sign a paper agreeing to pay for $945 before they treat my dog. I said "I don't care the price just treat my dog!!" They wouldn't until I signed. I signed the paper. They finally take him back to their room and I asked if I could come with, they said no. After the first trip back... my dog didn't wanna go back again. He had to make two more trips to the room that I couldn't go to. Then after they treated him, the girl walks out and asks if she has to clean this muzzle. So I know they muzzled my dog and held him down where they could have simply let me come back and made him feel more comfortable. I would never go back. Geno is healthy today but they were horrible.
Our Corgi ate a lethal dose. The staff and vet we're very nice and matter of fact. He had tachycardia, high blood pressure and very high glucose. After initial treatments, we opted to finish treatment at home. We were advised that if he made it past 3 am would more than likely pull through. I was explained how to give treatments, how much, etc.
The night after the phone call, my girl paced all night and was acting very nervous. She ended up having a stroke the next morning. We called AUC ahead of time, and they said they would get ready for her. We rushed her back to AUC because they already knew her history. Dr. Schondrick put her down. The bill was $300. She had very good bedside manner. The staff was exceptionally understanding and compassionate. We were allowed to have a moment alone with her. They understand that these are our family members. They also have a business to run and families to feed themselves. If I were a vet, I would charge the same amount that she’s charging. Hopefully, the staff makes good money, too. They do a great job and I would return if needed.
Our Corgi decided that climbing on to a night stand to get in chocolate M&Ms was a good idea. I caught him in the act but not before he had two pounds. I called AKC Poison Hotline. They recommended get to emergency vet clinic ASAP. This was the closest to us. I called as I was driving there. The receptionist asked if we were aware of the fees. We were not. She told us the fees and payment upon arrival or before treatment finished.
I don’t see greedy people. I see a business that was burned too many times by pet owners who couldn’t pay their bill.
It cost us less than we thought it would but it cost big bucks. Our Corgi made it through the night.
My 11 year old dog was clearly in pain. We waited in the waiting room for some time, but my girl was walking and breathing just fine. There were at least two other animals ahead of us, and it reminded me of the “human” ER waiting room - a long wait - so I would say that the waiting part is typical. We were taken back to the room and a very nice young man took our information. I had no idea why my girl was in pain so I gave the staff a long list of symptoms. Dr. Schondrick was able to figure out what was wrong. She needed meds, blood work, and an X-ray. The bill was over $900. I didn’t have quite that much so I asked if we could just do the bare minimum and I could take her to her regular vet for the non-emergency items after I got paid in a few days. They explained that the X-rays could wait but the blood work probably should be done for a baseline. The total was just over $500. I agreed to this and signed paperwork agreeing to pay and signed another paper refusing the X-ray. They let me know that they would send her regular vet all her info from this visit. They were very nice and very professional.
Two days later someone from the office called to check on my girl. I explained that she hadn’t been eating. They were concerned and made suggestions we could try to get her to eat. Only it didn’t work :(
I would have put zero stars but it wouldn't let me this is the worst place to take your pets to they make you sit in the waiting room for a half or more before even seeing even though you are the only person in the room they only care about how much money they can make off you we had taken in our cat that was sick and not acting right they took him back and felt around on his belly and then guessed what was wrong with him now mind you they did not do any x-rays or any testing to see what was making him sick they said he bladder was blocked and needed surgery and to give them 3000 for the surgery to be done and said to us they don't know if it would help him or not and still mind you that they didn't do any type of testing or x-rays or even blood work they just guessed what was wrong with him i told them i didn't have that kind of money so they put him down without letting me leave take him somewhere else for care. They are very heartless mean and very rude people if you want your pets to live do not take them here
I am grateful and very glad that Animal Urgent Care was there for our beloved Stutz. We had no options locally.
Worlds worst experience!! I wouldn't recommend taking any of your pets to this place. The vet is so rude and has no heart. Never in my life have I ever dealt with a vet that is so mean, heartless and just money hungry in all my life. I will not be taking my pets there ever again!
We heard another pet owner come in with a very injured pet. It was intense, the owner was very agitated, shouted, and very rude. He was not treated unkindly just what had to be done. People need to understand the emotions they have in such a delicate matter. Also, that healthcare for your pet is not free.
I was nervous and very worried. I felt they were slow but then I was on edge and my husband reminded that everything takes time. Yes, he was with me. Time moves slow when you are worried about your loved one, pet or human. They gave medicine to settle him down within 20 minutes of arriving. They took him to back to establish blood base line.
